Mike and Psmith. P. G. Wodehouse.

Mike and Psmith.

London: Herbert Jenkins, 1953. 8vo. First edition thus. Partial reissue of 'Mike' (1909). Original red cloth, lettered in black. Spine slightly faded. Previous owner's childish scribble largely erased from front pastedown. Round indentations on fly. Price-clipped d/w with a little edge wear is a later issue probably from the mid 1960s. Good + in very good + dust-wrapper. Item #4226

This is a reissue of the second part of 'Mike' but is self-contained. Psmith dominates. "If you ever have occasion to write to me, would you mind sticking a P at the beginning of my name? P-s-m-i-t-h See? There are too many Smiths, and I don't care for Smythe."
