New York and London: Vincent Parke and Company, 1911. 8vo. 15 volumes, set. Number 72 of 500 numbered sets signed by the registrar R.G. Lancaster on the limitation page of volume 1. Original red cloth, gilt. Top edges gilt, others untrimmed. Text in English. Coloured photograph of the Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII and the Duke of Windsor) in Garter robes in volume 1. Each volume has a tissue-guarded colour frontispiece and at least two further illustrations in the text. Gilt lettering and decoration dulled on all spines. Covers uniformly darkened with slight fading to the foot of each spine. Volume 6 has a nick to the head of the spine and volume 10 has a mark to the middle of the spine. Contents clean and fresh with no ownership marks. Near fine. Item #4663

The contents include such classics as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea, The Mysterious Island, Round The World In Eighty Days, Five Weeks In A Balloon, English At The North Pole and Tribulations Of A Chinaman. Stirring stuff.
