London: Macmillan and Co., 1913-39. 12mo. 35 volumes, set. (Lacking only A Kipling Anthology: Prose and A Kipling Anthology: Verse.) Publisher's limp red/burgundy leather, gilt. Top edges gilt. Silk marker ribbons. Some volumes illustrated. All volumes have a pencil note on the title page giving the date of the first edition. Some volumes have a neat ink ownership on the front endpapers. There's a little bit of wear or scuffing to many of the spines but they are generally in near fine condition. A nice set. Item #5172
Most volumes are reprints from the 1920s but there are some first editions (in any format) included. Complete sets are very uncommon due to the long publishing history and the fact that, though it is called a Uniform Edition, it was never sold new as a set. The two anthologies may be considered unnecessary for a set since their contents are included in the other volumes.
