Bloomsbury: The Nonesuch Press, 1931. Tall 8vo. Limited edition. #25 of 1450. Bound on flexible back in full tan niger morocco with cloth joints, gilt. Bottom and fore-edge untrimmed, top edge trimmed and gilt. Marbled endpapers. Printed in Monotype Cochin and Jan van Krimpen's Antigone Greek by Johannes Enschedé en Zonen on grey Pannekoek mould-made paper. Open capitals in red at the head of each book by van Krimpen, and the same type used in enlarged line block, also in red, on the title pages. Loosely inserted at the front are two copies of Francis Meynell's note about how to open the binding and the paper. Ornaments designed, engraved and composed by and under the direction of Rudolf Koch. The large figures of Greek warriors on the title page were designed by Berthold Wolpe. Spine a bit faded. A few small patches of abrasion to the back cover and some tiny spots to both boards. Near fine. Item #6092
