Erratum tipped into the Introduction of volume 1. Price-clipped d/ws are just a little rubbed except for volume 1 which is also a bit tanned on the spine, worn at the spine ends, and with a couple of very short closed tears at the head of the spine. Isaiah Berlin in his Introduction calls this autobiography, "a literary masterpiece worthy to be placed by the side of the novels of his contemporaries and countrymen, Tolstoy, Turgenev, Dostoyesvsky."
