Volumes 1-29 were issued in 1910 as the Eleventh Edition. Three 'New Volumes' were published in 1922 becoming 'The Twelfth Edition of that work, and also supplying a new, distinctive, and independent library of reference dealing with events and developments of the period 1910 to 1921 inclusive'. The 'Handy Volume Issue' has the advantage of being the most compact form and the buckram binding is much more durable than the limp leather issue. Included is a Prospectus for the 11th Edition, published by the University of Cambridge.
