Covers just a little rubbed at extremities and with a strip of abrasion to the lower edge of the front cover. Very good. Item #6896

This volume uses the same endpapers as Robert Byron's Shell Guide to Wiltshire. Like Byron, Hobhouse lost his life in the war. The entry in the Gazetteer for Matlock on page 59 is pasted over with replacement text as usual. Vested interests had been upset by the author's description of the large number of posters on display in the town.
