The clipped d/w has a couple of tears to the top edge of the back panel, is faded as usual to the spine, and has a little spotting. 2. Small faint stains to the top and bottom edges of the text block. The clipped d/w has a creased tear to the top edge of the back panel and the rear flap is detached. 3. Ink ownership on the title page and an ink comment opposite, 'Paul Scott writes like a woman!'. The clipped d/w is rubbed at the edges with several tiny nicks and is slightly faded on the spine. 4. The unclipped d/w is faded on the spine. 5. Light foxing to the endpapers. The clipped d/w is slightly faded on the spine and has light foxing to the flaps. A very good set in good d/ws. Item #8697
The complete Raj Quartet together with the pendant novel, Staying On, set in 1972 and featuring the Smalleys who were minor characters in the earlier volumes. Staying On won the Booker Prize in 1977. A good reading set of first editions.
