A book designed for recording the details of a family with a fold-out family tree at the end and an envelope for hiding the Family Secret. A unique opportunity to compare the creator's own copy with one that is unfilled. From the loosely inserted typed Memorandum of Agreement for the book, signed by both Francis and Alice Meynell, via reviews clipped from Vogue, Country Life, Homes & Gardens and the TLS, with the author's signature ('Ivy Germaine Madeleine Skinner May 1936') on the flyleaf, to her entry in Who's Who in Art and her husband's obituary pasted to the rear endpapers, this is stuffed (as intended) with her own family. Wedding photos, telegrams, letters and drawings fill the pages but the Family Secret remains just that.
