London: Herbert Jenkins, 1956-1966. 8vo. 41 volumes. First (only?) impressions of this uniform edition. Original green cloth, gilt. Approximately half the volumes have a top edge stained green. Heavy Weather & Louder and Funnier have neat ink presentations to the top edge of the flyleaf. The jackets are a little rubbed, with the odd nick and some marking to the spines from handling. Near fine in near fine d/ws. Item #9278
The only uniform edition prior to the Everyman Wodehouse and with the advantage of much nicer jackets (in my opinion). Concentrated joy.
