The rain poured down in the morning but, when it became lighter, the day got busier and books found welcoming hands. My great thanks are owed to Katharine Stockdale who kindly helped to unpack the boxes at the beginning of the day and then repack them at the close of play. The Matisse couldn't have found a better home and I trust that all the other purchases will be as well enjoyed. Thank you very much!
